: Eye Candy : Brush Pen Lettering

I was super excited to experiment with my new brush pen! I have never used one before, and I have become kind of obsessed because I started following Jasmine Dowling on Instagram. I just love her handwriting and she was definitely a handwriting inspiration when I made these prints! (her website) and thanks to designlovefest for having a bunch of awesome background prints I could use! 🙂 hope you enjoy. xo

: D eye Y : Mini Succulent Planter

layour

I’m a little obsessed with succulents. Even though i’m pretty sure they are super easy to keep alive, I have a bad track record with killing the cute little things. I bought a few of them at the grocery store the other day and didn’t know what I should plant them in until I found this awesome cement planter at Target! It’s the perfect size for the mantel above my fireplace, but I thought I could spice it up a little bit, and this is what I came up with! Here’s hoping I can keep this one alive! 🙂

what you will need:

  • succulent of your choice
  • any cement/ceramic planter you want (I got mine from Target for $7)
  • nail polish color of your choice (mine is american apparel-summer peach)
  • paint pen (sharpie metallic gold)
  • washi tape

*you can use paint pen/nail polish for both colors if you want
